Lampadina

Lampadina is a table lamp designed in 1972 by Achille Castiglioni for the Italian Flos. The lamp is available in different colours with a contrasting silver base made of aluminium. The lamp itself is made of partially sandblasted glass, for a softer lighting. The cord can be rolled up under the base, like an older version of a film reel.

The inspiration behind Lampadina lies in the light bulb, which is also the translation of the name. Castiglioni wanted to reconstruct the classic light bulb and the result was this stylish and playful design. Lampadina has a simple design language that fits perfectly in all possible environments.
