ClassiCon Mandu valet stand

In 1929, the Maharaja of Indore commissioned Eckart Muthesius to build and furnish his Manik Bagh Palace. Completed four years later, the palace was a masterpiece of the Art Deco style. Muthesius complemented its architecture with his own furniture and lamp designs.

The Maharadja had numerous servants. Eckart Muthesius added another one: his servant Mandu ensures an elegant look with typical Art Deco flair. Very feminine and yet – or perhaps precisely because of that – mainly used by gentlemen who do not want to entrust their business jackets to a simple coat rack. The original chrome version reflects its surroundings, while the new colours, black and bronze, particularly emphasise the lines of the design.
