Vitra Fauteuil Direction Pivotant – Japanese Red & Walnut

The Fauteuil de Direction Pivotant was designed by Jean Prouvé in 1951. Its adjustable mechanism and swivelling base were developed for the office context — an unusual application for Prouvé, whose work was more typically associated with schools and social housing. This version is upholstered in dark grey Twill with an American walnut and Japanese Red base.
