Eileen Gray not only created some of the most iconic furniture classics of the 20th century, she also ran a studio producing rugs based on her designs. Some of her finest designs are included in our rug collection. Named after the picturesque coastal town of Cassis in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region of southern France, where Eileen Gray spent significant periods of her life, the color scheme of this rug is reminiscent of the blackcurrant of the same name. Made from 100% hand-spun New Zealand wool, it combines deep terracotta and fresh strawberry red with geometric white and dark brown panels.
