Thonet 118 F Chair

Minimalist and honest, slim and elegant: the classic wooden chair 118 F from Thonet gives every dining table and restaurant a subtly stylish look. The principle of reducing a chair to as few parts as possible was introduced by Michael Thonet in the mid-19th century. The 118 F continues this inherited principle and goes one step further. The one-piece, bentwood frame of the horseshoe-shaped seat is based on the traditional Thonet chair 214; the seat itself is handmade from woven cane. The cane version comes as standard with reinforcement under the cane to extend its lifespan. Chair 118 F is also available with a moulded plywood seat.
