Founded in Milan in 1947 by Pirelli technicians and architect Marco Zanuso, Arflex revolutionized furniture design by introducing industrial materials like polyurethane foam and elastic straps into domestic spaces.
Pioneering Italian modernism with groundbreaking icons like Zanuso’s Lady armchair (1951) and Cini Boeri’s modular Strips system, the brand transformed comfort into an architectural art form. Today, Arflex remains a benchmark of Italian heritage, merging material innovation with sculptured, timeless design.
