Thonet 118 F Chair
Minimalistic and honest, slim and elegant: the classic wooden chair 118 F from Thonet imparts a subtly stylish look to any dining table and restaurant. The principle of reducing a chair to as few components as possible was introduced by Michael Thonet in the mid-19th century. The 118 F continues this inherited principle and takes it a step further. The one-piece, bentwood frame of the horseshoe-shaped seat is based on the traditional Thonet chair 214; the seat itself is handcrafted from woven rattan. The rattan version is supplied as standard with reinforcement beneath the rattan to extend its lifespan. Chair 118 F is also available with a contoured plywood seat.
