CLASSICON Corker No.1 side table

Warm, earthy, at the same time stable and flexible in use: The Corker is one of those universal talents that look good in any living space. Whether as an extra seat or a side table. The cork stool, available in three sizes, not only plays with its own nature in its name, but also in its design: It was the contours of a bottle cork that served as inspiration for its creation. One could almost understand the Corker as a Pop Art object, so directly does it refer to the object from our everyday culture through pure magnification.

The Corker originated from the London Serpentine Gallery Pavilion in 2012. The design of the temporary summer pavilion was a collaboration between the architectural firm Herzog & de Meuron and the Chinese artist, designer and architect Ai Weiwei. The stool was part of the overall concept.
