Arco
Arco is a floor lamp designed in 1962 by Achille and Pier Castiglioni for the Italian brand Flos. The Castiglioni brothers got the inspiration for the lamp from ordinary street lamps. The idea was to create a light source that is mobile and not in the way. Thanks to the arm, which is just under two and a half meters, a larger piece of furniture can fit underneath. Since it was designed, Arco has never been taken out of production and is today considered one of the most recognized design classics. It has also appeared as props for American blockbusters such as The Italian Job and the Bond classic Diamonds Are Forever.
The lamp shade is made of chromed aluminum with an arm in highly polished stainless steel. The stable base is made of Carrara marble. Choose between a dimmable version of Arco with an integrated light source or a version without a dimmer, then with an E27 socket without an accompanying light source.
