Apple Music's 100 Best Albums celebrates the platform's first-ever list of the greatest albums, launched in 2024. Limited to 1,500 copies, the book features a sleek acrylic slipcase with a unique edition number etched on each. Inside are albums chosen by Apple Music’s experts and artists like Maren Morris, Pharrell Williams, J Balvin, and more, alongside producers and industry professionals. The list is a curated love letter to influential records, free from streaming metrics or strict criteria.

Spanning over 65 years and genres from jazz and rock to hip-hop and electronic, the collection includes classics like Miles Davis’ Kind of Blue (1959) and recent hits like Bad Bunny’s Un Verano Sin Ti (2022). Featuring artists as diverse as Billie Eilish, Metallica, Travis Scott, and Talking Heads, the list has sparked global conversations. “If it gets fans debating passionately about the music they love, we’ve succeeded,” says Zane Lowe, Apple Music’s global creative director.

Each entry is accompanied by detailed liner notes exploring the album’s cultural and artistic impact. “Great albums aren’t just collections of songs—they’re heartbreak, joy, and revolution,” Lowe adds. The book itself is a collector’s item: a linen hardcover embossed with the Apple Music logo, gilded page edges, and a hand-numbered ex libris, all encased in a translucent slipcase engraved with the edition number.
