Knoll Barcelona footstool

The Barcelona Stool by Knoll, designed by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe in 1929, complements the lounge chair from the same series. Created through exceptional craftsmanship, the Barcelona exudes elegance. The cushion is upholstered in foam and covered with 16 individual panels, cut and hand-finished from a single cowhide. It rests on a slightly curved frame with an x-shaped base.

The piece is chrome-plated and hand-polished to a mirror finish. The Barcelona Stool is available in a range of colors. Knoll's Barcelona collection also includes a lounge chair, daybed, and coffee table. Mies van der Rohe's less-is-more approach has inspired generations of modern architecture and design. His furniture has been internationally acclaimed, with the Barcelona Chair winning the Museum of Modern Art Award in 1977.
