Classicon Corker No.2 side table

Warm, grounding, simultaneously stable and flexibly deployable: The Corker is one of those universal talents that shine in any living area. Whether used as additional seating or a side table, the Cork Stool, available in three sizes, plays with its own nature not only in its name but also in its design: it was the contours of a bottle cork that served as inspiration for its creation. One could almost understand the Corker as a pop art object, as it directly references the object taken from our everyday culture through pure enlargement.

The Corker originated from the London Serpentine Gallery Pavilion of 2012. The design of the temporary summer pavilion was a collaborative project that year between the architectural firm Herzog & de Meuron and the Chinese artist, designer, and architect Ai Weiwei. The stool was part of the overall concept.
