Ingo Maurer Oop's 1 Wall Lamp

The Oop's 1 Wall Lamp was designed by Ingo Maurer for the brand Ingo Maurer. Designing beautiful lights for everything from installations to apartments since the 1960's, this Italian designer has a notable pedigree. Utilising the best technical practice and advances, and breaking creative boundaries throughout his career, Maurer still takes interior design and lighting design commissions today, and still consistently challenges design boundaries.

The Oop's 1 Wall Lamp is a stunning example of what imagination coupled with experience can create. A twisted, tall curl of ivory paper flairs up the wall. Inside, at the bottom, an almost hidden light bulb shines up and throws intriguing shadows up the wall. The Oop's 1 Wall Lamp measurements are 130cm in height, 40cm in width, 30cm in depth, and it is made from paper, steel and plastic. The wall lamp needs an E27 bulb, and comes with a cable. Thanks to its height the Oop's 1 Wall Lamp makes a wonderful statement for any plain wall. The lamp also works well in pairs, perhaps try staggering them on a wall to create your own individual shadow and light show.
