VITRA Eames Limited Edition Eames Fiberglass Chair DSR

The Vitra Limited Edition Eames Fiberglass Chair DSR is a design by the American designer duo Charles & Ray Eames. The Eames Plastic Chairs by Vitra are well-known to many, but originally, these chairs were made from fiberglass. For ecological reasons, polypropylene was chosen for production in the early 1990s. However, they are now back in their original fiberglass form. The manufacturing process has been adjusted to make the fiberglass more environmentally friendly. Unlike the polypropylene version, the fiberglass shell displays the iconic fiberglass streaks, and each seat shell may have slight variations in color or small holes in the surface, contributing to the beloved vintage look.

Over the years, Vitra has continually introduced new colors beyond the standard palette, each undergoing thorough testing. With the limited edition of the Eames Fiberglass Chair DSR, limited to only 500 pieces, Vitra reintroduces the signature Eames Turquoise color. This vibrant hue adds a fresh look to any interior, breaking up the neutral tones in the space.
